soooo here we are with the tenth and final release, thought it would be nice to finish on a nice zen like number, so this is a extra special release kind of a mini lp almost -opened up by fx mchn flush the trush is an intro to the comp and a reverse funk skittish affair next up is new man on the block for us here we been sitting on a collection of his tracks but felt this one complemented this ep the most, ecco foul, gloss is a sleazy machine groove that does t do much but thats just the way we like it .then comes mr facade with his jerky funk sweet surprises and warm melodies. the b side is opened by another newcomer from running back record hugh mane new age dawns whose track come s deep and wide open has to be heard on the headphones as well as the club jamie blanco s chord arrangments get opened up and spaced out by lht office boy toby tobias in a detroitesque ditty thats been used to open a few sets in 2015 already and finally alphonse delivers an out and out machine jam with the usual dub influence brought in vocal fashion.

dekmantel is thrilled to announce an exciting new project by the impeccable robert hood. over the course of three different eps and an album, the detroit legend presents paradygm shift. hood: ‘‘the idea behind paradygm shift is similar to a shift in our focus. we can become so complacent, we are so comfortable with our surroundings, i think this is the time for electronic music to find a new mindset.’’ the form lockers ep kicks of the series with great anticipation. two tracks that have ‘rob hood’ written all over it: minimalistic beasts, bursting from energy and meticulously crafted by the hand of a master producer. ‘form’ slowly but surely creeps upon you, a slow starter, but in the end the techno funk-finesse will roar like a detroit car engine. ‘lockers’ follows a slightly more melodic path, keeping the momentum by delivering body shaking, pulsating techno, deep and timeless just the way we like it. it’s a pleasure to present you these two slayers, and there’s more to come.

ian blevins is the keeper of the jewel in the crown. this is his second offering for the esp institute. picking up right where we left off, side a unleashes another explosive big room belter with resume a driving rhythmic monster that takes advantage of the whips and cracks in ian’s drum machine arsenal, while warm chords lay a foundation for a quirky lead melody and rubbery pulse to dance upon. akin to hannibal, blevins esp institute debut in 2015, the arrangement here toys with us before revealing the true guts of the track—this time characterized halfway through by a punctuating gangster piano hook. on side b, poor old head utilizes ian’s signature drum styling we’ve come to adore, but here he establishes swells of melancholy via bending notes that meow and purr, beautifully ebbing and flowing though an array of incongruous dial tones and bells—shakey and barely out of sync, yet cradling a loosely drawn chord progression. these two songs will smack you up before they rub you down.

* this is the seventh surgeon album.
* -while exploring new production techniques using old and unlikely hardware, the results were so unusual that i really had the sense that these pieces of equipment didn t actually create these sounds, rather they were in fact some kind of elaborate reception device that allowed me to tune into transmissions from distant galaxies. the music i could hear was actually the received transmissions of pop hits from those distant galaxies that were being played on their radio stations. i quickly recorded all that i could before losing the transmission.
* i consulted with dr andrew read, the astrophysicist with whom i recorded guitar treatments in 1999. he has worked on the discovery of the most distant galaxies and astronomical objects in the universe. together we came up with a possible list of where these musical transmissions may have come from.

repress 2016 - lofile records release number three represents the first solo 12inch of marbod, co-founder of lofile. turdus merula is a true declaration of love to the deep and warm sound of housemusic. the four detroit sound inspired tracks, including a remix of thomas stieler, come up with minimalist, romantic and impulsive grooves and combine rawness and beauty. this ep is an awesome deep dance floor bomb. enjoy.

re-issue of a ltd aussie techno/house 12- from 1997. in 1997 tim jackiw emerged on the scene with his very first release on the short-lived aussie imprint, offworld records. the release was limited to 500 copies and went virtually unnoticed. a few music journalists at the time of the release dubbed it as one of the greatest electronic records to come out of australia. the a-side begins with a long deep technosoul journey. the b-side continues with more recombinant classic detroit and chicago sounds of the golden era. recondite is proud to re-issue this long lost introduction to tims music with new sounds to come in the near future!

2016 repress! next level va on stockholm limited. subtle, crispy and analogue techno. following on from andre kronert s start studded exu reworked ep, which saw contributions from efdemin and peder mannerfelt to name a few, stockholm ltd come right back with another killer. this time it s straight from the shadows, with masterful input from mighty thor, savas pascalidis and border one as well as newcomer dj redo.

willie burns (the trilogy tapes/wt records/ l.i.e.s. records) complements this unusual walk in the woods by absorbing it into his warehouse banger signature. burns rework focuses on micro events of the original to create a sort of granular house version out of them. the adventure continues on a somewhat melancholic turn with we have been here before and sometimes as the b side. while we have been before is a more dancefloor-oriented take to krautrocks signature synthline layering, sometimes is norwells venture into a more techno universe than he’s mostly associated with to come out with a soothing, yet banging work. as digital bonuses, norwell offers glimpse a short but catchy synth jam riddled with different layers of complexity. this piece is then taken into obscurity by farbwechsel records boss s olbricht for a ride into a 80s-cyberpunk club where people are trying to dance their problems away in a dystopian world.

let, the young but already assured label from the amsterdam based party crew presents their next release from close friend, robin kampschoer. he previously released music on studio soulrock and redevice, and it is hypnotic, deep and painstakingly produced stuff that makes maximum impact with minimum effort. his first productions for the label come with a remix from none other than detroit s luke hess. serene and blissful rollers that will take any dance floor to a higher mental plane.

duckcomb aka patrick billiard is one half of brooklyn s sharegroove. a longtime brooklyn dj and digger, duckcomb drops two edits from the far corners of the disco stratosphere. bonnevie is a hands-in-the-air dancefloorgroover with sexy female vocals, funky bongos, synth melodies, and a heartbreaking keyboard solo. every night hits us right where it hurts with soft rock for hard times written all over it. male lead and female backup vocals, night drive guitar solos, and a drummer with a heart of gold, every night is just begging to be sampled, like kurt hauenstein or jim capaldi hid a secret mega tune in some private press tax scam record, knowing patrick would eventually come along and take care of the rest.

having turned out two hazy, driving eps of muffled techno for lobster theremin sublabel mörk, nthng arrives on pacific command for a rare two track exploration of gritty dutch rave and rolling trance-y techno.
on *are you here*, nthng takes an up-tempo bucket-booted drum shuffle and steadily filters its way into a skittering hat furore, all coated with epic pads and a demi-hoover rave stab. full fire-alarm business.
on the flip, there is serious influence from early trance and techno with the warehouse-crushing *in the afterglow*. constructed on the back of an early 90s hard house-esque alien synth patterns and rolling wildly into the deepest depths of the forest rave, until the long-awaited sunlight pads come bursting through the leaves.

the 030303 crew come with a brand new various artist package in a beautifully designed sleeve to celebrate their 10th anniversary. while not all featured artist are new to 030303, the label mainly sticks to what it does best: digging up exciting new names from the raving underground. the smooth electronic tracks on the comp hold the middle ground between acid, idm, braindance, early 1990s 808 state-esque uk acid house and detroit techno.

after a first lp supported by various artist as rone, rodriguez jr, ark, electric rescue, morpheus or laurent garnier, timid records is proud to announce arno gonzalezs second album: *the delivery boy*. more personal (no featuring this time) and more direct into producing process, arno tells us pieces of his own story: a come back from a gig in brest (back from vauban), a crazy sunday afternoon (domingo dance), a trip to japan (kimura), a train ride to charles de gaule airport (angers/cdg). he also recalls with a dose of sorrow the cycles effects of buzz and modes into music (less was more) , the old time techno (the break), noisy and synthetic funk (the message) or the crazy run of a delivery boy (the delivery boy) which will be soon clipped by the motion designer smoh. the most surprising thing after a first listening is the work on textures and vibes which give consistency to the all album sailing between electronica, inspired techno and house grooves. finally, camille rodriguez and damien *timid boy* almira give us 2 stylish and efficient remixes which will find, for sure, the path to best djs turntables. enjoy your meal!

the last few years has seen parris make a name for himself across a number of scenes, to the extent he is just as likely to be found spinning records for butterz as he is putting records out on berceuse heroique. here at idle hands we first touched base with parris many moons ago when he bought copies of the first release on his soundman chronicles label into our shop. as it is one of our favourite labels we were intrigued to hear what he would come up with as producer himself. needless to say we were impressed. presented here are two tracks that perfectly reflect his sound and our own a nod to techno here, a weighty bass line there, a love of reverb everywhere and all with a view to being played in dark rooms late at night. the 12 inch of burr and blue is idle hands last release of 2015 and we think it rounds off nicely what has been a great year for the label.

paul cottam was diagnosed with encephalomyelitis disseminata, or multiple sclerosis, just as his first records were released in 2009. the symptoms can come and go, one day you can feel ok and the next day a relapse can floor you.

approaching its 10th year anniversary, blkmarket membership launch their record label. kicking things off with an e.p by new yorker sergio dimoff. this is an introduction for what is to come. and so it begins...

over a year since their last release, birdsmakingmachine come back hitting hard with a diverse three-track ep ranging from deep to minimal house. the title track “deaf crows” intelligently layers delayed snares and elaborate hihats into subtle analogue pads and melodies, resulting in a sophisticated, yet dj-friendly composition. at over 10min long, it’s an endless rotation of industrial rawness that manages to melt into the smooth and rich textures for which the birds are known. “black midget”, on the flip, goes into darker depths, with an almost broken 4/4 beat underlying overly swinging rhythmic arrangements and hypnotic synth lines that reminisce some of the earlier bmm material. finishing off the record is the simply titled “primos”, offering a more minimalistic approach with its intricate arrangement of quirky arpeggiating melodies and playfully juggling hihats, closing off the ep in the neatest birdsmakingmachine fashion.

vincent vedat comes along with his first ep for s.g.o.l. he has tried to unite a sick-sound with classical house elements. on the a side worries & all the same come with deep vocals and extreme sleaziness. bashful and as soft as velvet are the oversoft husle on the b side.

we re really excited to release our first 7inch! we ve been sitting on this carisma 80 s synth boogie track for a few years, waiting for the right partner to come along and finally found one in the shape of breathe, an electro ripper featuring our old pal, alejandro paz on vocals. both tracks bookended our boiler room upfront mix last year and we ve been asked about them ever since. now you can enjoy them too.
